Now don’t get me wrong, I love badass female heroes. Wonder Woman? Sign me the HELL up! Catwoman? Such a badass. Princess Leiah? 10/10! However I’m having trouble writing female combatants because well... there’s a reason I’m asking this so late instead of in the morning in case this offends people. I really have nothing against the super strong badass woman who can take on a hundred dudes... but realistically? Not super likely especially against strong trained male combatants. What I’m trying to say is what are your tips on writing combat with females fighting males without it being crazy unrealistic. She’s not female Rambo. She doesn’t have super strength or invulnerability. She’s creative, ruthless, and driven for her goals no matter how dirty she has to get her hands. Any tips on how I can realistically have her hold her own? Obviously the men won’t expect much from her (this is like 500 AD give or take.) so she has that going for her but what other tips and tricks could work to make her able to survive without being too unrealistic? I am sorry if this comes off as sexist, I REALLY don’t mean it to be. It’s just... well testosterone 😕
