Now I wanna be very clear, I have nothing against any LGBT people at all. They’re people just like everyone else except for they have different attractions or gender identity. Totally not homophobic. However, how I like to show that in writing is to have homosexuals in many different roles include one couple as antagonists. Their homosexuality is neither the cause of their conflict with the heroes nor is it a point of where they’re considered lesser by the heroes. I’m just wondering how to do this without seeming like an asshole cause so far they’re the only openly homosexuals in the book. And shoehorning in more seems cheap and pandering. How do I write these antagonists (not exactly villains, more so people with goals that conflict with the heroes), without seeming like I’m trying to rip on the homosexual life style? If it helps, they’re not stereotypically over the top and are written as people first. I’m just worried about the backlash.
PS. Thank you all for your helpful comments it’s really appreciated and you’re all amazing. <3
