I am struggling to know where to take my idea for this book. Can you help me brainstorm?
This is the brief outline so far;
Vera Science
1 Suspended from her job as a Doctor due to administering too much medication to a child, causing a near-fatal incident
2 Gets drunk during the day. Drives her car and ends up in an accident / hit and run
3 Night of passion with a married man. Wakes in the morning, cannot remember her actions from the day before
4 Receives an anonymous note/photograph of the accident. Starts to get flashbacks of what happened. Blackmailed into following orders or the photos will be leaked.
5 Is given instructions to drive for a day to a secret location
6 On route 2 cars stop her, pull her out of the vehicle and force her into the boot. She is driven to the rest of the location β a farmhouse.
7 The wife of the married man Vera slept with is there. She informs Vera she knows everything and that she has been having an affair with her husband and now has dirt on Vera and will use it unless she does exactly what she says β kill her husband (she wants his money and will use Vera to get it). Vera says she will not kill this man. Sheβd rather own up to the hit and run and go to prison. The wife attacks Vera, they scuffle and the wife is killed as a result
8 Vera flees the scene. She is now responsible for 2 deaths. Her morals tell her she must confess but knows that her name has been tarnished as dr and no one will believe her that both of these incidents were accidents. She decides she has to return to the farmhouse to cover her tracks and get rid of the body
9 Upon returning to the farmhouse the body has gone. Vera is hit over the head with a blunt object and passes out cold
10 Vera awakes to see the wife very much alive standing in front of her, blood cascading down her face.

Now I'm stuck as to where to take things. Any ideas?
