How do you write a climax for a fantasy novel?
Post Body
I've heard that the climax should be the most intense and longest scene in the entire novel (10% of it usually) but I've been wondering how to do this for a fantasy novel where the objective is pretty much "defeat X bad guy."
In a movie, a long fight scene can easily take up 1/10ths of its screen time, but in a novel, long blow-by-blow fight scenes aren't really fun to read.
How would one go about doing this?
