Staying in the proper tense?

Do you have any resources to learn more about tense and staying in the proper one? I'm very guilty of jumping back and forth between past and present and want to kill this habit. I think it would just take a few decent articles or maybe a book about it.
Edit: Turns out the answer is 'Get Good' and practice more. I don't know why I didn't see that coming. So get off Reddit and go practice more if your here looking for a tip!
