Is literature/writing school worth it?

Post Body
I think this question repeats endlessly for every type of art, but I want to know what do you think specifically for literature: is it worth it to spend time and money just to “learn how write properly”, or is it more important to just do it, learn from experience and self-teach us like that?
In my daily life I've heard a solid 50/50 between those two postures, but none of them come from people who actually have done something, haha. So, what do you think? What's your experience?
