How much work do you put into writing?
Post Body

Normally I tend to just sit down and write without any outline or anything. It’s normally in head and I just write it all out. I’ve learned my lesson and started to actually write down plot points and such, but even then I run into the same problem. I’ll get X amount of chapters written and not happy with how much extra work I’m doing having to reread everything and make corrections.

I understand that’s part of writing in general, but feel like I’m doing more of it. So I’ve decided to take a new approach.

I’ve bought some journals and writing out everything for my book. Characters, nations/cultures, alien races, Royal/Noble families, planets, companies and how they tie into the foundation of the world/universe.

As I’m working on this I feel like it’s way more work than I had originally wrote books/chapters before.

Anyone else have this struggle or how they overcame this hurtle?
