Hi, I'm pretty new to this subreddit (and Reddit in general), so please bear with me if this has already been asked. But I'm writing a story where I want to emphasize that time is passing, but not just do a time skip, something that would be the equivalent of a montage where the characters are spending more time together and getting closer. I don't quite know how to write something montage-y like that without fully writing out each individual experience, but I don't want to dwell too much on any one of these events because they're all small things in the grand scheme of the (already going to be very long) story. I just wanted to focus in on stolen glances, hanging out more often, becoming more casual about affection, etc. leading to a big confession scene. How do I approach something like this? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
