Post Body

I am currently working on the first draft/outline of a sci-fi screenplay and I am looking for some advice or maybe to be pointed in the direction of a resource that could tell me if my potential threat would actually be a threat.

If you look through my post history, you'll see that this screenplay is my take on a new live-action adaptation of Gerry Anderson's Thunderbirds. I was looking for a daring rescue sequence to utilize Thunderbird 4, the submarine, and went with a damaged underwater Hyperloop line. I want this Hyperloop line to actually implode in the sequence and become a true threat, but I am unsure if there would be any surface effects of the implosion. Would the shockwave caused by the sudden collapse of several hundred kilometers of hyperloop line have above-water effects or only underwater effects?

Basically, what I am wondering is, is this a subreddit that would be able to help me figure out my questions, or is there a subreddit devoted to writing research like this that someone might be able to point me toward?
