How does the idea of a reincarnated + clone sound?

Post Body

My main character is going to a reincarnate of the person her body is cloned from. So she is technically both a clone and reincarnation.

She is also going to feel guilt about something her past self did, like she brought on a war that killed thousands/millions and the effects are still felt long after she is gone. My character is in part going to identify with her reincarnate, even taking up her name. Part of her struggle, other than seeking atonement and redemption, is that she struggles to see where she begins and her past self ends.

I basically wanted to do a reverse avatar situation.

Anyway, how does this sound and is there any advice I can get to make it better? I feel like the idea may be too far.
