How to hold on to your writing mojo. Keeping up with all the ideas.

Recently I started playing Shadowrun. Which contains the cybernoir elements my novel desperately needed. With that I feel myself wanting to scrap the current chapters and redo it with the new energy I found.
How do you keep your writing juices going without running out quickly?
Second question. Now that I have a new source of ideas to write the lore I need. How do you keep track of it? Pen and paper, notepad on pc, chalkboard etc...
