As I continue to meet and interact with more and more authors (both published and unpublished), it seems like EVERYONE is writing some form of "YA" (young adult) book. No matter what the genre; fantasy, horror, apocalyptic, romance, post-apocalyptic fantasy-horror romance. They all slap the letters Y & A as a prefix. Is there reasoning behind this besides wide market appeal?
Maybe I'm just out-of-touch, but it seems like Young Adult fiction has inspired a legion of writers, and would-be writers.
Set me straight here, people. If anyone here is writing a YA novel, can you clue me in?
