Mid-30s female here. Like most of you, I've always loved writing. I spent most of my career as a journalist, which took up the majority of my brain space and time, leaving me with zero energy to write for me or for fun. I've got a less-demanding job now and more work-life balance, but I'm finding it so hard to just sit down and write, partly because I still work on a computer all day. After work, I usually work out and make dinner, get ready for the next day and then watch TV and read a little before bed. On the weekends, I'm often playing catch-up on errands/boring adult tasks, or making time for friends, being outside and away from screens.
For those also in their 30s, how did you make time for writing? When are you doing it? I think part of my issue is just not wanting to be on my computer so much, but I prefer it for more focused writing vs pen/paper for journaling purposes.
