I've got more books that I can handle. I keep adding more. I stole that tick from Umberto. But now I'm more serious about writing.
However, I struggle to read like a reader. I review the same dialogue three times to analyze what the author was thinking. Why? Why did they do it that way?
Not everything has a reason. So I can't get lost in stupid details. I need to read more, and faster.
I'm hiding behind research. I keep outlining and planning, but I never give the first step. Wait, I give some steps. Then I stop after losing my breath. I haven't climaxed in a while. I give up once my drafts lose inertia.
Maybe I should quit and find a job in tech or law. Then I won't be desperate enough to actually write a transcendental classic. But still, I need to share my adventures. I want others to go somewhere, by the edge of the Earth, and look down the waterfall. Then let us know what you saw. So that humanity may keep moving and building. Write!
Oh, and I found a book in the laundry room: How to read like a writer?
