My mom died recently at 91 and for 20 years she did a lot of genealogy. She was still active until she was 88 or so, but there's a tremendous body of genealogy with some interesting history thrown in. She ran a newsletter until she was in her 80s and I used to write local history pieces for it. Professionally, I don't do much writing now, none really but I will be getting a master's in English online after one more class. I want to produce something memorable and somehow merge some of the old stories into something coherent that we could "co-author" posthumously on her part. Or maybe the first book should be short stories, and of course the great opus memoir that I'm going to start writing for my thesis.
