How to keep in shape with an injury?
Post Body

So a few weeks ago I tore my acl as a hs senior a week before districts. I know. Disheartening. Whatever. But, what I want to know, is how to stop putting on a crazy amount of weight. If I was able bodied I'd go to the gym. I'm a Heavyweight so there's a lot that can be done for my weight. I'd say I have a good 60 -70 pounds of fat on my body.

If possible, I would be the happiest person in the world if I can lose about 40 pounds.

Also the doctor says I'll have to do surgery soon, which was expected and then I'll be in bed more often than now which is insane. It's only now that I am going back to school, which means I'm going from next to no exercise to minimal exercise. Otherwise I'll be doing physical therapy for a few weeks preceding my surgery.

Seriously though, I need help. I appreciate any kinds of advice whether that be small tips or whole diet plans.

I know this isn't r/loseit but it just feel uncomfortable with that community. I prefer the wrestling community. They show some love and personal interest. Thanks guys.

Edit: Only slight change of heart, I'll be making a post on r/loseit but your answers are still very appreciated and sought after. Thanks.
