Post Body

Hello all. I’m a former student wrestler with 6 years of experience who throughly enjoyed the sport and am wanting to get into coaching. I really enjoy teaching others about the sport and watching them cultivate their skills.

I just loved to a new state, CO. And am wanting to start an offseason club. I want to start small at first offering what I know about the sport. My questions would be:

  • How would one start creating “hype” about a new club?
  • what is the best way to go about finding rental space (especially if you don’t own mats currently)?
  • are there specific certifications I would need or is club coaching more lenient then coaching for a school?

Any other advice on starting a club would be greatly appreciated!

I do have coaching experience as well as extensive wrestling experience and knowledge
