I underperform because I cast less abilities than others

Post Body

I’ve been playing wow for years. I’ve always been an at best average DPS performer. I’ve been researching why this might be for a very long time. I’ve noticed a trend.

When I do dungeons with someone else playing the same spec, I noticed they always cost a lot more abilities than me. I’m hitting my mouse buttons as fast as is humanly possible. I can’t imagine anyone pressing those buttons any quicker. I’m not stopping to think and I do have muscle memory. This has placed me across warrior, rogue, mage, and now paladin.

Have you experienced or seen this? I’d really appreciate some advice. I’m at a point where I feel like quitting a game I’ve loved since 2004. I don’t think it’s a mouse versus keyboard issue. I’ve had this issue with both.

Odds are you have a lot of excess moving and not enough casting. You won't be aware how much you actually move when not needed u start paying attention to it. Recording yourself is very helpful, too.
