I can't fly in the Dragon Isles with my dragonriding mount?

Hey everyone! I got on my 70 dk and realized that randomly could not fly anymore with my dragonriding. It just says "You can only do this while midair". I don't have this problem on any of my other 70s except this one and it started happening this patch. Anyone know what could be wrong?
Edit: just checked the common issues page. turns out i'm not crazy lol
