Post Body

Ok shorty story, but we’ll worth the time! If you aren’t here for real stories from WoW, keep scrolling.

A few weeks ago I was grinding Hinterlands and running toward the beach for quest. This is when I came across Narl (altered for privacy), the Paladin. He was on the last pull of the chicken escort and at 33% and low mana. He probably had CDs but I dismounted to help him finish the escort. Narl offered to help me go back and do the escort, then we parted ways.

We ran into each other a couple hours later turning in a quest in Feathermoon. We decided to party up and hit the Ferales quests. We ended up questing together for a few hours and added each other.

A few days later I needed help with something and decided to whisper Narl. He helps me out and we end up questing all day. I hit him up next morning and we quested all day again. We quested every day together from that point forward and toddy we dinged 60. But then…

We are wrapping some stuff up. I’m 2 bars from dinging, he’s more like 4. I had to disconnect for 10 minutes to turn the MLB ALCS game and he had moved to another area so we stay partied and finish alone. I went to Stormwind to turn in runecloth for my ding and I start watching baseball while I wait for Narl to ding. He dings 60!

And then 15 minutes later dies from a disconnect while mining ore. I watched his life tick away, then die, then DC.

Just as Narl was telling me he’s going to add from his alt, I get DCd safely in stormwind. And then again 20 minutes later.

What a rollercoaster. Here’s to you, Narl! We were a potent Paladin/Mage combo and good leveling friends. Your death was a tragedy.
