Unexpected server rollback? (US Steamwheedle Cartel/Kirin Tor/Sentinels)

I'm not sure what happened and Blizzard isn't saying anything, but about 10 minutes ago, the server suddenly disconnected everyone and rolled all progress back by 15 minutes.
This concerns me because while I wasn't doing anything too critical, rollbacks are a serious issue and I'd really love a response from Blizzard as to why this happened and whether or not we should expect it to happen again.
