Hey all.
So As the title says, I'm moving to a new state. It's for a job and I'm just out of college. I always wanted to get into an mmo, and I tried wow back during cataclysm but never had anyone to play with. My friends all thought it was too nerdy. Hate it when people judge stuff like that. Anyway, that's a whole other post that I could talk about.
I'm looking to get into WOW, My job gives me 3 days off every week, and I figure since I'm in a place where I don't know anyone, and for once I don't have collegiate homework every day, I could get into this. So here's what I'm curious about.
I like casters. I like to do big damage. What class/race combo would you recommend? I Prefer the alliance from the little warcraft lore I know. Or does race even matter with class? I am thinking about running a tank in the future though. Want to learn the game more before I do that though.
Do you think it is a mistake to get into WoW now, after all these years? I used to be a big SC2 player, and I am a pretty big diablo 3 player, (blizzard give us diablo 4, but with better development), and now I'm on heroes of the storm pretty hardcore, but I feel as if other than heroes my time with all these games has run it's course. I don't find joy in starcraft anymore, and D3 isn't really bringing me the same fun it once did. I figure maybe a massive rpg might finally do it.
If there are any guild's out there who would be open to having a relatively new player join, please pm me here. I am in the Midwest, so I'd rather not play on a west coast server.
Should I level from level 1? or use the boost on my first character?
I'm downloading the game as we speak. It'll probably be done in the morning for me.
Blizzard, through all their ups and downs with me, still pretty much has me wrapped around their finger. I know a lot of people, complain about this game being to simple, but honestly, that doesn't deter me away. Sometimes I don't want a game to be multilayered and something that takes years to master. I just want a game to be what it is. Ok enough ranting.
I appreciate any help you give me. I really hope I can get addicted to this game.
