I played WOW for a few years, from about 2009 to 2013. I loved the game, and I played it constantly. I had a few level 80's (that was the max level for me) and a huge amount of other characters of every level.

I think it was the fact that I played it so much that caused me to get kind of bored of it. I haven't played it in almost 2 years now, but the other day I saw a post about it on Reddit and it made me remember all the fun times I had playing this massive, wonderful game. So right now I'm trying to get back in to it.

I'm making this post because, even before I stopped playing, a lot of things were changing fast, and I was confused. I never played Mists of Pandaria, but it came out before I stopped playing (I think). Basically, I want to know how the game has changed in the last few years, and google isn't very helpful. What's gameplay like, what's the world like now, have there been expansions, what is the main storyline, what are dungeons like, and mainly, how do you recommend I get back into the game?

Should I start a new character and see where that takes me? And if so, what character?
