I have an issue with Curse client, every time I restart my PC, Curse thinks that there is an update to it, and it updates to the same version it already is. After spending a week researching this, it appears to be a common issue if you have ANY KIND of antivirus on your computer. Really? Having no anti virus is a requirement to fix this issue? How about having a standalone version that doesnt check for updates.

Ive checked out a couple of other clients but they seem to be way out of date, or the addons they grab are a few versions back. Is there anything that will have latest addons and is somewhat updated (runs with no issues on Win 7 and no issues with WoD) ?

I like Curse when it works. But having to reinstall it every day just to use it takes away all of the convenience. Because not only does it take time, it acts as if it never was installed so all settings are reset to defaults.
