Haunting Spirits in LFR?

I've tried googling this, and gotten conflicting results.
I'm trying to make some good LW gear for an alt, and a lot of the recipes need Haunting Spirits. They're not on the AH very often. All I have time for is LFR (can't do more committed raids).
Can LFR gear be DEd into Haunting Spirits? And can the "non-loot" loot (coalesced turmoil, etc) contain them?
