TL;DR: Need high/full pop. server with active alliance population. Would be nice if this population did more than just raid/arena (raids on major cities for example). AH vitality is important too. Sorry if this sounds sort of demanding, my arms are sore and I just want to get out what I am trying to say. Thanks.
I played on Uldaman with some friends a year ago and we got pretty far together. Good guild, level 90s, all that action.
Came back a few days ago to find that the server's alliance population is all but dead. The AH is alright, as far as I know, 12,000 or so auctions which is way more than others, and at least 40 people in SW even on a weekday. So a "medium" pop. server, I suppose.
But I did not resubscribe to WoW to play by myself or to have just enough people around to justify a "medium" server population ranking.
Though I resent that I will be dishing out $25 just to keep the $16 a month a relevant expense, I will do this if it means I actually want to play.
My question to you guys is, what are some high pop. server you play on? I am considering kil'jaeden, Sargeras, Illidan, Tichondrius, stormrage, all those servers. Area 52 is great, but for horde only.
I woudl prefer servers with lots of weekday activity, if you have played on a server that does "fun" things as well as game-progression things (So like, raids on opposing faction cities, specifically r/wow events so a reddit server may be perferred).
I do care about amount of auctions, and good guilds, but I care more about the activity level, how full the cities are.
I don't have time to go to each of these servers and inspect the city with my own eyes during times I may play, so I am very grateful to all of you who can lend me your knowledge.
