I know, this is going to be a rant because in the end everyone is the owner of his own money and free to choose how to spend it.
What i don't like is people supporting this type of aggressive microtransactions in a subscription mandatory game, where you have to buy every expansion and on top of that still in 2024 forced into a 13€/month sub.
Don't ever ask again "why is Blizzard focusing on making more and more store content (WoW inspired D4 skins for 25€/each and now this 78€ mount) instead of delivering a properly fixed and balanced game?" when the community supports them so firmly.
This is a case of the vocal minority crying out about an in-game item that CLEARLY the majority of people either want, don't care about, or realize that they don't have to buy it if they don't want to.
Simply put, it's $90 because that's what people will pay. If they'd only pay $50, that's what it would cost. If Blizzard thought it would make more money to list at $150, that's what they'd charge.
This isn't and never has been rocket science.
Your post can be summed up with, "I want this thing, but I can't justify that amount of money for it and now I'm angry about it."
It's really not that difficult to understand.
Edited to say: I bought this mount immediately on logging in even though I have Brutosaur already and the Ohuna Perch mailbox boy, because $90 one-time to free up a space on my bars from the pet and having to click a couple buttons is fine for me. It's not fine for everyone, but they don't have to do it. It really just comes down to what makes sensee for YOU.
