Long story short had a "relatively superficial abscess" on my hip, "with close proximity to and around fascia without direct involvement of the adjacent musculature". All quotes are from the radiologist report from the CT scan. It was about the size of a soup can.
They made an incision, drained it, and packed it in the ER. They gave me pain meds, largely for the first two things instead of the third I'm guessing/hoping. Tomorrow I go in to get the initial packing removed and get it repacked. How painful is that going to be?
