This is a backstory for Ramada and Lilyth. Note that I am not a Japanese speaker and nor do I have the qualifications of a professional translator so there is a high chance that some part of the story is lost in translation.

Story

Back when Caelum was just established

Mont and Lilyth were fighting some Fennes soldiers, and when a Fennes soldier was about to be killed, he surrendered and pleaded for his life. Mont spared him, against Lilyth's suggestion. A messenger then showed up, informing that Sogi, Lilyth's hometown had been raided. Lilyth departed immediately only to find his brother Volke slain. Lilyth became overtaken by revenge, and mont, being the very empathic person that he is, chose to lecture lilyth about the errors of revenge. As a result, Lilyth vented on mont, blaming his kindness and naivete as ill suited for war, and departed to seek vengeance on her own, leaving mont behind.

Jump to 2 years later, when a resistance force is battling a force from Rundall

The resistance had Rundall's troops on the retreat, but when the resistance leader Corwell(a sniper) is ready to order pursuit. He is stopped by Moore(Ramada's sister) and Ramada. Moore and Ramada are both astrologians(astrologists) and sees ill fortune in pursuing. the resistance soldiers disagree, stating that their defiance against Rundall is their defiance by force against fate. Corwell decides to pursue and seeks the sisters' help, Ramada agrees.

On the other side, Barale(a Lieutenant under Randall's 2nd corp) rallies the Rundall troops and prepare an counterattack.

the resistance is using Moore's prediction ability to forsee maneuvers but the resistance soldiers are failing to keep up with Moore's commands since she's being an ass about it, disregarding the feelings of the soldiers and merely giving command and expecting them to execute. When Corwell voiced his complaint, Moore dismissed it as well. Lilyth shows up at this point behind Rundall's troops, defeating them and giving the resistance some room to breath. Corwell asked who she is and Lilyth said that after 2 years of losing her brother, abandoning her country and seeking revenge, she's seeking a final place to die. She would help the resistance against Rundall.

After clearing some Rundall soldiers with Ramada, Moore noticed that the great stag is fading, symboling that Rundall will eventually fall. She decides to leave and abandon the resistance, stating that her goal is to take revenge on Rundall, whose fall is now destined to be. And since Rundall's fall will occur with or without her participation, it is no longer necessary to risk herself in this. Ramada then asked what about Lilyth, and Moore said that Lilyth's fate is shrouded in darkness, warning Ramada that she risks being engulfed by the same darkness if she stays around Lilyth.

Moore then makes her intentions clear to the others, stating that they are now fighting a war with no significance. the village will fall, no matter how hard they try. Corwell and the resistance tried to change her mind, but to no avail. Seeing there's no changing her mind, Corwell asks where she's going, and Moore says Heindler. She wants a front seat view of Rundall's collapse. Lilyth says that by going to Heindler, Moore's going to benefit Rundall, sheding more innocent blood, and leaving the weak to fend for themselves.

Moore argues that Lilyth has no right to lecture her. She says that if Lilyth truly seeks death, she would've died somewhere alone, and she is alive because she has hope. She then asks what Lilyth is seeking. Lilyth replies that she wishes to to end wars. Moore inquires if she seeks to end wars by abandoning her country and acting alone, saying that Lilyth is driven by impulses unlike herself, and she only acts to increase the chance that Rundall falls. Moore then asks Ramada if she really wants to stay, and warns her again about the darkness. Ramada says she want to stay with Lilyth and witness the Lion's awakening.

Then Rundall's forces approach and both sides prepare to clash

Barale has the resistance surrounded and seeks to negotiate terms of surrender with the resistance to minimize losses on both sides. Lilyth volunteers to negotiate on the resistance's part but Corwell refuses, vowing to protect his homeland to the death. Reminiscing about the birds' songs that used to be here before Rundall invaded this place in order to set up a beachhead for the invasion of Hourne.

During battle, Lilyth met with Barale and Barale beseech her to surrender. Lilyth is confused since the strength difference means Barale's forces can just crush the resistance. Barale states that killing either side will not stop the war, only prolong the cycle of hatred and this cycle has to end somewhere. Lilyth notes that his ideal is similar to mont's. Barale expresses his desire to one day meet the prince who hates war(Mont). He pleads for Lilyth to persuade the resistance to surrender. Lilyth agrees and persuades Corwell to surrender and Barale let them leave in peace.

Corwell says he cannot sacrifice his friends in vain and that they would seek a new home and prepare to take their village back, but they would not accompany Lilyth for Lilyth's path is no longer the path of vengeance. They then departs.

Ramada says she'll accompany Lilyth to where she wishes to revive the birds' song. They leave together for Leonis.
