It seems impossible to gear up alts now

I feel it's getting pretty tough to gear up alts now that every dungeon being run is expected to be heroic plus. Since you can't do heroic plus when you hit cap getting that gear to actually do anything requires you have people in your guild willing to hear you or you pay for runs. I hope the heroic plus hype calms down soon since I do run them on my main but I can't find a single person doing normal heroics.
