Operation Vrtra
A combat wing of 10 classified F-69 Dragon Penetrator autonomous aircraft rushed into service is dispatched to Hawaii to take part in strikes against the TRA. Ostensibly, this is being done as a gesture of goodwill towards the unified defense of Asia. Really, the USA command wants to see how well our new drone fighter hypersonic concept works and if we should buy more. Japan has been notified and is taking the appropriate logistical measures ahead of time. Command has been delegated to Japan to avoid friendly fire incidents. The combat range is normally 4000km, only enough to touch part of Oregon, but this can be extended at least a couple hundred km through mid-air refueling (the plane will have to slow down to get refueled but whatever). In addition, the strike range is probably at least 1000km larger than the combat range given that we don't have any plans of loitering around the combat air space after flying to our destination, dropping the bomb, and heading back. These planes will be predominantly using Japanese and Californian communication networks in the area to connect to bases in Hawaii, though the modus operandi of the plane is going super fast to bomb a pre-determined target on mostly pre-planned routes so instantaneous lag-free control isn't a must.
Thing | Number |
---|---|
F-69 Dragon Penetrator UAV (Hypersonic) | 10 |
Tankers for mid-air refueling to extend range | Enough |
Indian military trained e-sports pros to pilot drones | 50 |
G-Fuel | 500 gallons (powder form) |
The UAV will be equipped with 4 DRDO SAAW glide bombs and 2 Brahmos-II missiles for ground missions destroying enemy airfields (more than enough to collapse a couple reinforced hangars). The SAAW will be replaced with AGM-154C-1 if striking naval targets and the Brahmos will be replaced with AIM-260 if on an aerial interdiction mission (if not on one, the plan is to simple speed away at hypersonic speeds faster than an enemy aircraft can intercept them).
However, these weird hypersonic uav fighter thingies will mostly be reserved towards alpha striking hardened targets under intense anti-air protection, most notably the larger airbases and carriers. This will let our allies save their trained pilot's lives and offer a better chance at getting through since most SAMs are not designed to shoot down hypersonic planes with modern countermeasures not seen in a hypersonic missile. In the initial wave of alpha strikes, the 10 planes will attack Joint Base Lewis-Mcchord and Navy Base Kitsap with air-to-surface and air-to-ship loadouts respectively, but we project that they can maintain a continuous sortie rate after this to strike other strategic targets given that we have more than enough pilots to never get tired.
Footage will be taken on cameras mounted on the fighters for use in Bollywood propaganda and war films.
