Skeld United Security Force formed
- Chirag Gupta
The bi-partisan, ruling coalition of the Skeld (fanatical zoomers and doomer boomers) has announced the latest initiative in the state, designed to catch up to reports of Holy Chalykyan rafale purchases and record high Frontier involvement and recruitment quality in the South Asian Army. The Skeld United Security Force, or the SUS Force for short, is a paramilitary/military organization maintained by the state government for the purposes of repelling Pakistani and Chinese offensive operations on its home turf without help from the federal government. Its nucleus consists of retired Indian army soldiers as leadership and local men and women aged 16-40 that want part time employment.
It will consist of roughly 240,000 "active-duty" soldiers and 600,000 "reservists" who are really just civilians who show up every weekend to fire guns and receive basic training. Active duty soldiers also aren't really active duty, they are more just much more dedicated reservists who can be deployed at a minute's notice and train several times a week. The Skeld is looking to hold its nose and hire 3AR PMCs in formation to help with training as one of the few sources of substantial numbers of trainers.
Training and organization will learn from the mistakes and successes of the latest Israeli war. They will be focused around defense scenarios, potentially in total war (unlike the more general training of normal army units). They will be split up into Task Forces of 60,000, the minimum amount of men determined by South Asian general staff to pose an effective assymetric, guerilla based response to a substantial ground incursion across a broad area. Of course, further organizational levels are present down to the guerilla cell of four people, such that these units will maintain operational flexibility and defend their home by any means necessary even if other army units are routed. There are still some heavy units of course, but these are mainly meant for defensive ambushes and encirclements in prepared positions, as opposed to deep maneuver warfare into Pakistan.

They will be equipped with largely hand-me-down equipment due to their lower maintenance costs and simplicity of logistics compared to more complex, modern technologies. Equipment is largely bought from Japan as well as produced in mass quantities in India.
Equipment
300 CM-21
652 CM-32
341 Type 90
100 Melara Model 56 Pack Artillery
8 Mirage 2000
18 K136
1000 humvee
200 Super Tucano (needs to be bought from Brazil)
Big amounts of civilian trucks and cars
Tons of stockpiled Cold War small arms and such from India's reserves. Perhaps the SMLE will be making a comeback?
Recruitment and training is set to be done by the start of 2029, it is projected that most of the initial soldiers have already been trained and simply didn't make the cut for the Indian army's own Gurkha-based training programs but are willing to try again.
