OK, so it's been like a year since our icebreaker got stuck. The crew is fine since we established regular aerial supply and such, and anyone with medical problems would probably be allowed to leave. However, the icebreaker, while being repaired with whatever hand tools are available, is still pretty broken. We have a new plan: take the french and brazilian icebreakers, put towing equipment on them, get to our icebreaker, and tow it in the right direction to go through the cleared path. Then, with additional support and guidance from the two icebreakers, it will use its own power (minus its rudder) to escape the confines of Antarctica and stop at Reunion to undergo further repairs.
