We need more guys in the air force and navy since those are being expanded a lot.

Air force

Gurkha pilot recruitment will be expanded to 400 fighter and other combat aircraft pilots, with increased investments in high school training camps for potential recruitees in the Frontier state.

Overall, air-force personnel will reach 250,000 active personnel by the start of 2027. This will basically be done through adding new recruitment benefits and capitalizing from increased militarization particularly in the Skeld and Frontier regions. For this end, reserve personnel would be decreased to 100,000 as around 40,000 are called up to service in this hour of need. This is to facilitate expansion in both our fleet size and basing capabilities across South Asia.

The Air Force's Garud commando force will be expanded to 4900 men, keeping its notoriously challenging training. It will remain specialized in niche air-force specific tasks such as guarding airfields, airborne assault, suppression of enemy air defenses and bases, and guiding airstrikes. It will be organized into 70 "flights" of 70 men each. 30 flights will be assigned to guarding airbases and other air defense at any given time, with bigger deployments to airbases closer to the front line, leaving 40 to conduct other operations. This expansion will take around two years to be fully effective due to the long training time of Garud commandos, though this is somewhat mitigated by the fact that the 3 year training time includes basic training and other trainings that have overlaps with our existing more intensive training for 2nd gen Gurkhas, and the force will be nominally to strength far before then. It will also be combined with Bangladesh's similar No. 41 Squadron.

Navy

The navy is also expanding rapidly, and needs more men. Recruitment will expand to an active duty component of 200,000 by the start of 2027, decreasing reserve personnel to 50,000.

The Marine Commando Force, or MARCOS, will be expanded to a force of 4,800 commandoes. They will be organized into 40 companies of 120 men each, though they will train in smaller 24 man platoons and 8 man squads/"Prahar" as well. It will remain a small-unit based special forces group specialized for amphibious operations, hostage rescue/CQC, and asymmetric warfare across all environments. It will be combined with the similar Bangladeshi SWADS. This will be done by the start of 2028.

Army

Let's be real, the Indian army is already big enough. However, special forces will be expanded due to increased asymmetrical threats and opportunities. The parachute regiment, comprised of 17 battalions mixed between special forces, airborne, and territorial troops, will be expanded to a force of 20 battalions of 1440 men each, for a total force of 28,800 men. All battalions will be given special operations combat training, and will be geared towards (relatively) larger-scale operations, raids, CQC across all terrain and incorporating aerial assault. This is projected to be done by the start of 2028 as existing members of the army apply for selection and are simply replaced by new recruits to be trained, though the Paras still have a long training time while in service after basic training.

Summary

India has a massive manpower pool and many young people, particularly in Skeld and Frontier, that are more pumped up than ever before to defend the homeland. Hence, recruitment for special forces can be expanded without really decreasing the quality of recruits, and expanding service for the regular branches should be no problem given enough money.
