To the President of the Union of Cascadia

We've reached a bit of an awkward point in what have previously been amicable relations between the two of us. As I'm sure you're already aware:

• Northern Union agents were found infiltrating Alaska and gauging pro-NU support

• Cascadian agents were found to be responsible for sabotaging the F-37 program both within the NU and in our allied states.

Now to be frank, President Adams, I sincerely was unaware that NICEA (the Northern Union's intelligence agency) was operating in Alaska. That operation was carried out without my knowledge and I will be immediately investigating how it happened. However, there are a few things I have been informed about. Notably, I was informed that the operation was conducted around the time of the Cascadian invasion of the Midwest.

This would make it a not-far-fetched idea given that we were looking at possibly being on opposite ends of a continental war. Furthermore, NICEA's suspicions of a Cascadian threat against us were just proven justified after you attempted to set off firebombs at vital military facilities in the Northern Union, and succeeded at doing so in the Southern Federation, a staunch ally of ours.

Now we approach you to ask how you'd like to proceed with the situation.

We now are concerned about foreign interference in our country, and we are sure you are too.
