The Northern Union has finally become sovereign! In this exciting time, we look to the nations around us, eager to make friends and establish trust and prosperity. The Arctic, beautiful as it is, is also dangerous. We are all much better working together than standing apart. To begin, we would like to extend a hand to Norway.

We see that you recently have begun a pivot to the Arctic not too dissimilar to our own that we began nearly a decade ago now. We are glad to see this - north is the future, and in this warming world we stand a lot to gain from reminding the world of our sovereignty up north and settling and harvesting the bounty of this land that is our birthright. With this in mind, we would like to offer any and all assistance Norway might need in opening up their gorgeous far north. From our extensive and growing experience mining, settling, and defending the Arctic, we are sure there are many ways we could help.

With your efforts towards Anglicization, we have already offered assistance, but would like to expand on that. Simply put, you are working towards building a bilingual Norway. We have already begun working towards building a bilingual Northern Union. We offer our education-based initiatives as options for Norway going forward, and would also like to potentially work together on drafting new ways to increase bilingualism. To start, one idea we would like to propose is a student exchange program, with primary and secondary school students spending a semester in Norway and Norwegian students spending a semester in the Northern Union. This would allow Norwegian students to learn English in the best possible way - immersion. This also has the effect of familiarizing NU students with Norway and its language and culture, which will help serve as a cultural bridge between us.

In the spirit of that, we would also like to propose a worker exchange program. As we are sure many NU citizens will find themselves working in Norway in the future to further your arctic pivot, why not allow the opportunity for Norwegian workers to seek employment in the NU? That way, adults too can be exposed to our languages and cultures.

Of course, while dealing with topics of the economy, why not also lower trade barriers? While free trade may be an eventual goal, we propose simply halving tariffs bilaterally. This would be sure to spark increased trade, and may even be a necessity given that trade with China recently tanked. We've been somewhat affected by this, and we're sure you have been too. Obviously, neither of us can entirely replace the hole left by China's economic collapse, but it can serve as a start.

We hope that this message reaches the Regjeringen in good health, and we look forward to hearing back from you soon. May this be the beginning of a long friendship between the governments and people of the Northern Union and Norway.
