For quite a while, India has attempted to make a move to join the UNSC as a permanent member- a move which many nations states, including the UNSC permanent members of Russia, the United States, France, and Britain approve. The only nation who does not approve of this is, of course, China. However, China has reportedly stated that they are willing to back Indian entrance to the UNSC, as long as they stop supporting Japan's entrance to permanence in the UNSC.
We are willing to retract our support for Japanese's bid on the UNSC as long as you officially support India joining the UNSC, and help our eventual ascension to permanent member. Doing so will lead to a more democratic and stable UNSC, and will help the world as a whole.
