It would seem that in the past couple of weeks, the people of the Southern States of America have begun soundly voicing their opinion on ongoing negotiations with the USA for annexation.

Resoundingly against such a measure, they have turned against any efforts to surrender their sovereignty to the country responsible for destroying what little stability they had been regaining. In a rare unity transcending partisanship and politics, the Southern people have made themselves heard loud and clear. And we wish to let them know that their voices have not fallen on deaf ears.

The United States of Columbia, in the interests of the Southern people, will defend the Southern States of America against American annexation by any and all means necessary.

The South shall not fall.

To the people of the South, we tell you this: we will not abandon you. We have done our best to work for and with you for more than a decade. To the government of the Southern States, we extend to you a warm invitation to work with us to help us achieve our stated goal - one that the people by whom you were elected have clearly expressed a desire to maintain.
