"My fellow Monacans and Monegasques,

Today I have some grave news. The President of the National Council, Dr. Robillon, has been suspended from his work at insert hospital here pending an enquiry into his expense claims. It appears he has been claiming extortionate fees at the expense of those paying for healthcare at the facility.

I am disgusted in the actions of what I thought to be a noble man. Now I look back on his tax proposals with disdain, realising the hypocrisy with which he acted.

I have no confidence in this traitor any more. I am hereby removing him from his Presidency of the National Council. However, the insidious roots of his dishonesty run deep. I fear the whole Council is awash with dishonesty. As such, I am dissolving the Council. It is clear that those who wish to serve are not fit so to do, and as such, I have no desire to hold more elections.

I am sorry that Dr. Robillon's foolishness has caused such a start for this country, but I cannot see our nation cut down by those who seek to further themselves rather than the country. "

This statement follows the bitter row over tax legislation, championed by Dr. Robillon. Now, these proposed changes seem dead in the water with the dissolution of the National Council.
