The European Union is obviously failing, with a majority of it's western states leaving. I present the creation of a successor to the dying EU called the Federation of Central European States, or the FOCES. It is a federation of central european nations with borders that are very loosely based off of historical political entities like the Holy Roman Empire.

The following nations are invited to FOCES as founder states:

• Denmark

• Germany

• Belgium

• The Netherlands

• Austria

• Luxembourg

• Slovenia (annexed by Austria)

• The Czech Republic (Unclaimed)

• Italy

The following nations would be invited to FOCES in the near future:

• Croatia

• Hungary

• Slovakia

• The sucessor to Poland once it is stable

The uses of FOCES:

1. Maintaining the incredibly useful economical union between these states

2. Maintaining a defensive pact between our nations to defend from outside sources

3. Maintaining a Schengen zone

FOCES could be the future of our nations and it might be a vital step for the health of Europe.
