This is channel DR1. Today, Danish icon and Oscar-winning movie star "Simon Dahl" has announced on Twitter that he is converting to Asatru, a revival religion of Norse Paganism. Simon Dahl is known for being the star of hit films such as "The True Story of Greg", "Attack of Space Aliens from Space", and "An Australian Daydream" where he won an Oscar for Best Actor earlier this year. We were lucky enough to get an interview with him.

DR1: Mr. Dahl, when did you convert to Asatru?

SD: I converted last week but I didn't decide to announce it until today.

DR1: So it's offical?

SD: Yes.

DR1: Why did you convert to Asatru?

SD: Well, one night I was sleeping and I had this dream where I was transported to Asgard and Odin and Thor told me to spread their glory again throughout the world. I thought it was nonsense because I used to be an atheist. The next day I...I decided to go swimming as I was at my Florida at the time. While swimming, my whole body went limb and I started drowning. I couldn't control my limbs so I knew I was a goner. Thor descended from Asgard and saved me from my watery doom. I then knew that I was the chosen of the Gods. And now I'm an Asatrian.

DR1: Is there anything you'd like to say to your fans?

SD: Yeah. Look for Odin and the other Gods of Asgard in your heart and you will find your way to enlightenment.
