"Your Majesty, I come to you in my time of need. We ask that you keep this as secret as possible, as we fear that groups in our nation will take this news.... badly to say the least. My good sir we have never met face-to-face, and I have no personal hate nor do I wish misfortune on you, but some in my nation do. We must ask for your help in the face of the American menace. As we speak they are landing men on the shores which we cannot defend against.

I have met with my advisors, ministers, and generals and we have decided that this is the best course of action is to ask for protectorate statues from you. We are prepared to apologize for any harsh actions we have taken towards you, to remove our troops and claim on the island of Barbados, and pay a sum if you wish for this deed.

I plead for you, out of the kindness of your heart, to one emperor to another- please let us survive this war."
