Al Jazeera News:
"The people of Qatar do not simply deserve healthcare, but are entitled to it as a basic human right", the words of the Minister for Social Protection and Health, Malala Khalid - who today announced a yearly Government pledge of $20bn in funding the Qatari State Health Service; it is understood that health policy is an area in which the Minister shares a great deal with the Prime Minister, who himself has seen the benefit of a 'National Health Service' in both his country of birth Great Britain, and in Norway.
Polling conducted by this channel recorded an increase of 18% in terms of public approval for Miss. Khalid, who has already proved to be popular publicly, in particular, her calls for a more humanitarian society is widely regarded to have been the catalyst behind her appointment to the Cabinet. It is then of note that the individual is yet to formally declare candidacy for Deputy Chairman of the Conservative Party, surely such can be imminently expected following such a ludicrous political announcement, which some believe is a direct act of sponsorship on the part of Wellington-Churchill given such convenient timings, a week before voting begins.
In opposing Miss. Khalid, a member of the hard-line Islamic grouping of the Party, Ismaael Hassan, has gathered much support from grassroots activists in preparation for contesting the fourth most senior Party political position, after floor Leader, House Majority Whip and Chairman. The position attracts a Governmental salary as accompanying it is the job of Cabinet Secretariat, responsible for the administration of Executive Government. Fringe candidate Thomas Darcy Adams is a former political aid of the Prime Minister, and is likely to be appointed to the positions of Secretary to the Prime Minister and Deputy Whip, regardless of the result, and thus may be persuaded not to run against the clearly favoured candidate of Miss. Khalid - the third most influential woman in her Party, and by extension, this country; her victory would be seen as a beacon of success for the Women's Rights movement of Qatar.
