The elections this year is a very controversial one, the war is wrapping up and this new administration will determine the future of the UFA.
'El Presidente' Candidates
Christopher Harrans
president of the Leewards, he wants closer ties with North America (especially Mexico, Colombia, and Virginia), and is very anti-imperialist, yet wanting diplomacy always as a first choice. Supports more expansion of the UFA with referendums to see if the people want it, and UFA into space operations.
Damian Aldridge
Current 'El Presidente' of the UFA and former prime minister of Jamaica, architect in unifying Jamaica and the Bahamas, started the JATA to combat kidnappings in Jamaica, brought Jamaica into the UFA
Wladimir Ochoa
Former minister of defense who wants to increase defense spending and modernize the armed forces. He is running on the fact that the UFA armed forces were completely unprepared to defend against the Mexican cruise missiles and British bombers, but he thinks that he can fix the armed forces so they will be ready for next time.
Harrans is very popular in The Leewards, Belize, and Hisapniola.
1- 6
Aldridge is popular in Jamaica only, his expansionist ideas are cut short with the peace treaty with Mexico. He is unlikely to win the election.
7-10
Ochoa is by far the most popular candidate in the race, being very popular in Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Venezuela, and Guyana.
