With the recent news that St. Lucia was starting a space programme, the German government sent a generous sum of £85bn (converted from USD) to help with the setup and establishment of a high-tech space launch centre.
With the space progamme, we want set out a specific set of goals to follow. The first programme we have planned is the 'Black Arrow' project, a succession of sounding rockets to test upper atmospheric densities and temperature reasons at different speeds and altitudes. The next project, still in the planning stage, is 'Launch Systems'. This will focus on building rocket launch stages or commercial payloads and (here's hoping) future modules to an international space station. The launch vehicles will also furter our own goals, such as setting up a communications network with full global coverage, interplanetary probe missions and a manned programme. In short,
Programme Outline
Black Arrow Project
- Black Arrow I - Mid-atmosphere readings and measurements.
- Black Arrow II - High atmospheric readings and measurements.
Launch Systems Project
- Triton 1A - 1500kg to Low Earth Orbit
- Triton 1B - 1600kg to Geosynchcronus Equatorial Orbit
- Triton 2 - 3600kg to Low Earth Orbit
- Triton 3 - 7950kg to Low Earth Orbit
Low Earth Orbit is anywhere from 104km (atmosphere ends) to 2500km orbit. Geosynchronus Equatorial Orbit is around 35,786,120km, and holds the satellite in an orbit the same speed the planet rotates, allowing the satellite to stay vigilant over a particular point on earth.
We hope you find this as exciting and badman as we do.
