Can a break if it’s small enough just heal on its own with no intervention?

Post Body

Went to the hospital, got it X-rayed, small chip in the bone of my foot.

Nurse just said it’ll be fine and to do whatever the pain allows me to do and I got sent on my way. Also specifically encouraged me to use it, if I’m walking I shouldn’t limp I should pretend my foot was never injured and walk as normal

Everything I look up and I mean EVERYTHING says even the tiniest breaks and chips need immobilising to some degree. I’ve been walking on it like normal and too much walking makes it hurt a bit and that can last

Is this alright?
