I've been trying to get gothic 2 to work on steam. I did something called a steam fix and all I know is it made it full-screen. It's working okay except the controls and unplayable. I did something before (I can't remember what) that made the left arrow button make the character look around and it was great because I didn't have to use the mouse to do that. These controls, I have to press CTRL and f to take my weapon out and I have to look around using my mouse. The first thing is fine expect I literally can not figure out how to attack I've tried everything. Regardless I wouldn't play with these controls since it's just awful. I'm REALLY bad with technical stuff and I keep researching stuff to fix it and I always get confused. Apparently I need a player kid? Idk what that is. But then Apparently it's already in the game now but it still doesn't work properly? I Apparently need all these things I'm just overwhelmed and I don't understand any of them.

I saw someone saying go to the gamea properties and click betas, then choose workshop-workshop Beta which did nothing. I tried changing the controls in game but it didn't work either. All I really need is the controls to the way it was before. I'm so confused please help I'm really not good with technology lol

I just really prefer those controls since it makes the game playable. The controls being space to take out my weapon and enter for inventory.
