how to download player kits for gothic on steam?

I know what to install before playing but every time I click on the links (I looked up how to and someone was providing links to everything) it just brings me to a page saying it's not an official steam site. I don't know where to go on the actual steam app and I'm very confused overall. The issue I'm having is the game will not go full screen no matter what I do and it's slow. Can anyone help?
