How to install the Dx11 mod for Gothic Archolos?

I have a pretty old windows 10 and I'm extremely bad with technology. I tried to find out how to make it run faster and the main thing popping up is the dx11 mod. I literally have no fucking clue how or where to install this and every time I read instructions how I literally don't understand. Is it on steam or do I have to look it up? I'm so confused.
