Watching Argentina play against The Nederlands and now against Croatia, I want to be impressed by their talent but I'm finding it hard. There are obviously a lot of really good players but watching them stand over and mock a Dutch player and then "pretend cry" at a Croatian player...
And they're the worst representation I've seen of professional players falling down followed by throwing a tantrum if they don't get an immediate free kick - regardless of why they fell.
It's just hard to root for them when this is their sportsmanship.
Comparatively, the NFL just passed a new rule stating something along the lines of, if a player is found to fake an injury in a play, the team will be fined.
What do you guys think? Am I being too harsh on Argentina? Should we expect better from professional players? Or is arrogance a plus to the game in your opinion?
